I'm using the bitspeek trial version on Mac.

When I'm not connected to internet, closing the bitspeek window makes it hang for 20 seconds before it closes.

When I have internet, bitspeek closes instantly.

This is in Reaper, on an M2 Macbook with all the latest updates. The behavior is the same for the AU, VST, and VST3.

Is the behavior gonna be the same with the licensed version? Please make bitspeek's internet check fail gracefully.

Oh, I never heard about this problem. We will have to check that out and see if we can replicate it.

Unfortunately, if the trial does it, then it will most likely continue to do so when licensed.

I could not reproduce this issue, but I believe it has something to do with the attempt to connect to our server to check for updates.

Could you please try to turn off "Auto-check for Updates" in the main menu and try again?
