I'm clicking the branches and moving them to change effects as I record and no notes/sound is registering when I play it back. The only thing that records is an automation. Is it possible to record the branches themselves without having to press notes on the keyboard?

I might be wrong, but I'm not sure Logic Pro can record the MIDI out from an Instrument plugin. Did you figure anything out?
