Sonic Charge for Linux

Windows is a cesspool of data collection and advertising.

Apple is, and always has been, a manipulative closed system.

Now that Windows is so very problematic, may we please have Linux native versions of Sonic Charge's fine set of music tools? Speaking for myself, I would willingly pay for the software a second time to get this.

n.b. I am using Sonic Charge tools with Wine and yabridge on Linux Mint, but that is not the clean, direct experience that makes music a joy.

Would love to use my full bundle of Sonic Charge plugins in linux aswell.. Really miss them atm.
Sonic Charge is the GOAT for audio plugins and linux support would be a dream coming true.
    Is there any hope?

So, by 2026, Windows has become a bit of a nightmare for users. A lot of people are changing their minds and opting to deal with the issues of less mainstream operating systems like Linux, or switching to the overpriced Apple Mac solution. Using Linux is a 50/50 situation—you need time to get into it—but it definitely works, with more freedom, solid alternate Open Source Tools and is not THAT good at creativity Usage. Agree.

There are more than a thousand native or multiplatform audio plugins available for Linux (linuxdaw.org), and the userbase is still growing these days.

I've been on Linux for over a year now, and it works great for music creation (i can do anything with less plugins, gave mit back creativity by using less tools). Sadly, I can't use Sonic Charge yet, so some of my plugins are sitting idle. I have an open KVR thread that reached 13,000 views in just six months, focused on upcoming and existing native Linux plugins. So there's definitely interest and i would like to read Sonic Charge there too.

I've bumped into a lot of developers, and well—some big players are already on the Linux side.

There are already serious developers supporting Linux: HY-Plugins, U-HE, AudioThing, AudioModern, Unfiltered Audio, Xhip, Polarity, MENSLA, Tweakbench, Plogue, Youlean, and more. Some are just starting out, while others like U-HE are fully integrated.

I understand why developers want to save their environment and focus on outputting working plugins for the majority of customers. But we can only show our interest by demanding native Linux plugins. Even the smallest step creates a chain reaction that pushes this entire movement forward.

This is my interest and a silent request—at least try.

    Regards

New user here. +1 for Linux. While I still have a Mac, latest ways Apple is going is pushing me more and more to just use Linux with Bitwig and Renoise. Sonic Charge plugins would be very welcome on the platform.
